# Connect AI tools

Every Thally site is agent-readable out of the box — here is what that gives you.

Readers increasingly ask an AI assistant instead of opening a search box. A
Thally site answers both audiences from the same reviewed content, with no
extra publishing step.

## What agents can already read

Every published site exposes these surfaces automatically:

    A machine-readable index of every page, so assistants can find the right
    one without crawling.

    Add `.md` to any page URL — `/quickstart.md` — for the clean Markdown an
    LLM ingests best.

    A read-only Model Context Protocol server at `/.well-known/mcp.json`
    lets tools search and read the docs as structured data.

    JSON and JSON-LD projections of each page keep titles, sections, and
    code blocks intact for retrieval.

## Point your editor at the docs

Add this site to any MCP-capable tool (Claude Code, Cursor, and others) and it
can cite current documentation instead of guessing from training data. Most
tools accept a one-line registration with this site's MCP endpoint URL:

```text
https://your-site.thally.app/.well-known/mcp.json
```

## Hand a page to an assistant

Every page's **Copy page** menu includes **Open in ChatGPT / Claude /
Perplexity** — each opens the assistant preloaded with the page's Markdown
URL, so answers stay grounded in what the page actually says.

  The Analytics page in Thally Cloud separates human visits from AI-tool
  traffic, so you can see which pages agents read and which answers they
  relay.
